Hello everyone!!! It has been a few days. Well, to update you. I had an incredible weekend. I worked my butt off on Friday and it seemed like it would never end! Well, after work I went to Bridgewater Church for their Youth Lock-In. I’m too old of these things. But, I found myself staying from 7:00ish until 12:45am playing underground church. If you haven’t played that game its fun, and it’s quite freaky if you aren’t familiar with the church. After that I went to Luke’s house and there was still a gathering going on there. So, I went for about 30-45 minutes. I’m glad I did because I landed 2 FREE tickets to the UT vs. USC football game!!!
My first time in Neyland Stadium was pretty sweet. I’m not going to lie. Being in there with 108,000+ people was pretty stinking sweet. I was sitting in the corner of the end-zone behind the band and at the end of the student section. I would say I got an education sitting there. HAHA!!! It was a great game.
Sunday, I went to West Lonesdale and had a great service. The message was the first in a series of messages Entitled “Go”. The text was based on Matt. 28: 16-20. (Great Commission). The first point was to go with Power. The second thing is that Christ gives us three stipulations when we go. 1. Make Disciples or Captivate people with Christ’s story. 2. Baptize or Celebrate with them in their conversation and baptism. 3. Teach or Cultivate in them a desire to live a life of Christ. And lastly and my favorite, is Go with No Limitations! Christ did not say how to go and spread the word. We have no limitations on how we are to Captivate (get their attention) or to celebrate or to cultivate (we have examples of what to teach but not how). Pretty neat!!
The overall directive to GO should always overcome any limitations and always lead to creative solutions…In other words, we have no excuses.
