I've been at my job now for 2 days. So...here's how the first day went down. I got completely lost going to orientation downtown. I was told, park in parking garage on Locust/Union. So, i turn down locust and see a parking garage. I pull in, get my ticket and park. I'm on my way on and not recognizing anything. I go back to the lady working the garage and ask, "Am i in the Locust Street Parking Garage?" Nope! I was 4-6 blocks away. DANG IT! I have to park in that garage b/c the validated my parking. SO, the lady let me leave the garage and then i got lost trying to find it. I left my house 45 Minutes early and made it right on time at 8:30. It's only 10 mins away, i just dont know where i'm going. So, i get there and listen to the ladies for 2 hours. Then its off for a pre-employment drug test. Well, i wait and hour and half!!! I mean geez people, i need to pee in a cup. THATS IT and it takes that long!
So, i'm off to each lunch and at the branch by 1:00. They were waiting for me. After day one it wasn't so bad. Now, today I went and i'm starting to like the people. I think they like me. They all know i'm a pastor/christian. Not everyone there is, which i can tell, which is ok...more of an opportunity for me. SO, anywho. i think i'm going to enjoy it. Today, i was paid for doing a word puzzle. I can't do anything until i go through training on monday. however, it was nice when i walked in on the first day and the branch manager says, "Kevin we really think you'll do well here and move up really fast. You have that about you". Not too bad on the first day.
I led worship tonight and kinda did an impromptu (sp) lesson with a guy named Luke. It was kinda fun.
Set List: Ancient of Days
Made to Worship
Who May Ascend
Sing to the King
I had a great time. I'm ready for the weekend and ready to train and actually do something at work. But until then, i'll go in and stare and act like i know what i'm doing. So, we'll see.
