Hello from East Tennessee!!! Man, I realize it has been quite awhile since I posted. Well, life has been crazy here! I am listening to Steve Fee as we speak. This guy is pretty good. If you don’t have his CD…go get it on Itunes or something. You won’t regret it! Which helps me realize that whether or not I liked it, God has a plan for me. It’s not that I doubted He had a plan. I don’t know. But, work is going well. The people I’m working with are great and it allows me to be a light in the work place. Keep me in your prayers because I want to talk to a co-worker on Monday or as soon as possible. I’m pretty excited that Tennessee won tonight against Vandy. There was a scare but, they came out victorious.
So, this past weekend I was in Gatlinburg for the 21st Hearts on Fire Conference. It was great. I got to hear Wade Morris, Ken Freeman, and Greg Stier. These men were great and there was a great movement. Hundreds of people gave their lives to Christ and it was beautiful. I also was a chaperone for 6 guys. I stayed up late and I’m paying for it as I type.
Here’s a thought… Romans 13:11-14
“And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.”
Church, it’s time to wake up…and do something. Wake up, wise up. Paul is talking about living your life like the lights on. Think about that. When its completely dark, or when “nobody” is around, we live out of control. Because we think nobody is watching. But Paul is saying to live like the lights are always on. When the light is on, its like the light magnifies what is going on. If you are lost, you have no light. If you are a Christian, the light is always on. Paul is talking to the church…which is sad, b/c the CHURCH should already know this but he’s reminding the church. Just like us Christians, we need a reminder.
Pray for me, I’ll be visiting a church tomorrow that I’m interviewing with. God’s opening so many doors in my life, I want to make sure that my mind is clear as well as my heart pure. I want to be in the center of God’s will whatever that may be. I do not want to make a decision based on my wants or desires but what God wants for me. Thank you in advance and I’ll be sharing with you what He does.
