BUSYNESS!!!

Good morning. It's Thursday and I kinda like Thursdays. It's not really a stressful day. It'll be a good day. I think that Sundown in the City starts which is live music on Thursday nights in Market Square which from what I hear brings out a ton of people so, may go check that out.

Last night at church went well. We talked about busyness. A quick recap...Life is busy. I'm busy doing alot of STUFF. I love having a full calander. I love having stuff to go to and then with music, i'm all about being booked and the same is true for speaking. I think it's because of my strong desire to serve God. This has been my week so far: Monday was VBS workshop pretty late, Tuesday I had a softball game and had to rush and turn my taxes in, Wednesday is church night, Tonight i have an option, Friday is open, and SAturday is a youth event followed by church on Sunday (i'm leading worship in both services). SO...i'm busy and I know you are as well. In Acts chapter 6 we see the church is growing at a rapid rate and the Twelve are being bogged down with the "ministry" of the church or I should say the "day-to-day" work of the church that they are neglecting time with the word. This happens to me all the time. I'm guilty. I get so busy doing the work or doing something else that I have neglected my relationship with God. So, what did the Twelve do? I never thought you'd ask, well they elected Seven men to handle the day-to-day stuff. What should I do...well I can't get more people...I guess I could delegate but I really think it's a matter of Priorities. I think that's true for most people. Just as we "work out" or practice for whatever sport we play, that takes time to develop and I think for alot of us, we need to MAKE that time for developing our relationship with God. That's Wednesday night in a nutshell.

Well, it's official, i'll be opening for Stephen Cope in North Carolina at the Encouraging Cup. I've never opened up for someone in more of a "Concert" style setting but it'll be alot of fun i'm sure. So, May 3rd in Hendersonville, NC. More to come on this....
